Feral Animal Control — Sunshine Coast

Macadamia country, hinterland lifestyle blocks and rural residential properties

The Sunshine Coast region — from the Glass House Mountains north to Noosa hinterland and west to Kenilworth — is PRS’s home ground. Macadamia orchards, lifestyle acreage, cattle grazing, market gardens and plantation timber all coexist here, and feral pigs are the dominant pest challenge across virtually all land types. We operate across this region as Zone A.

Pest Species in This Region

Feral Pigs

The primary pest across the Sunshine Coast region. Macadamia orchards, dam walls, creek lines and pasture all suffer serious damage. Thermal control at night is highly effective.

Feral Deer

Chital deer are increasingly present in the hinterland and state forest margins. Browsing damage on food forests and lifestyle plantings is a growing issue.
