Peachester Rural Services (ABN 43 275 872 329, "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

When you contact us, request a booking, or buy from our shop we may collect your name, phone number, email address, company or property name, property location and details relevant to the job, order and delivery details, and the content of your messages. We do not ask for sensitive information, and we do not collect or store credit card numbers — payment is arranged directly with you (e.g. bank transfer or on delivery).

How we collect it

Directly from you via our website forms, email, or phone; from orders you place in our shop; and automatically when you browse this site (essential session cookies, standard server logs, and Google Analytics — see Cookies below).

How we use it

To respond to enquiries, prepare quotes, schedule and deliver services, prepare the reports and biosecurity documentation you request, process and deliver shop orders, issue invoices, and keep the business records the law requires us to keep. We do not sell or rent your information, and we will not add you to marketing lists without your consent.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers that run our systems — our website and business system is hosted with Amazon Web Services (servers located in the United States), our email is hosted with Zoho Mail, and site usage statistics are processed by Google Analytics — and otherwise only with our professional advisers or where the law requires disclosure.

Storage and security

Your information is stored in our hosted business system, protected by encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and regular secured backups. Because our hosting provider's servers are located in the United States, your information is stored overseas; we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with Australian privacy law.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses essential cookies to keep your session working (for example the shop cart) and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, without affecting your ability to contact us.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as it is needed for the purposes above. Transaction and tax records are kept for at least five years as Australian tax law requires, after which information is deleted or de-identified.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@peachesterrural.com.au. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
